i jus came back from the mosque. my mum and i went to the mosque to have our terawih prayers. mum told me how i behaved when i was 3 years old during fasting month. she said that she would bring me to the mosque for terawih prayers but instead of following, i would always end up snoring away. she said that when breaking fast, i would be the most chaotic person in the kitchen. haha. its nice hearing abt my childhood days.
today was a better day than yesterday. the staff nurses that was assigned to the same cubicle as me was quite nice. she picked out who goes to the nursery and who stays at the ward. usually, we would decide but today was different. i had to stay at the ward and my cubicle left with only 2 patients! hahaha. there wasnt anything to do lah. luckily, ms chia kept wanting to see all of us. so time is wasted there lah. she went thru the log book, explaining every single detail tt we need to know. she was naggy but she was extremely helpful to us. she showed us a REAL placenta from a mother that had jus given birth. seriously, i wasnt up for it so when i saw it, my eyes popped out! haha. there was SO MUCH blood and it was soo gross lah. she even mentioned tt some mothers EAT thier own placenta as it is very nutritious and healthy. OMG! i wouldnt eat it lah. the thought of it jus makes me puke. but it's interesting to know tt some people practice it. She also let us take a picture of the placenta n all of us quickly took out our phones. hehehe!
i guess tt was the only interesting thing tt happened today at the ward. 2 more days to go at obs and im done with paeds and obs. i cant wait to work with min at NUH. im praying tt everything goes well.
